Riiiiiiiipped!
Those socks ripped so fast I felt no pain for the time I had invested in them. Forget that nasty looking reinforced heel. It's history. They are shaping up to be the coolest socks I've ever made. They might be my sock entry in the fair this summer.
Easter is coming and my new project is a spring cardigan from Knitty called "Otis." I am using Rowan Summer Tweed silk and cotton blend in "blueberry" that I got in Pittsburgh last fall for another similar yet abandoned project. Maybe it will be the centerpiece of my Easter Sunday ensemble. Then again, maybe not. It has been my public knitting project now for a couple of weeks having represented knitters at shows, public lectures and faculty meetings.
